One source of business ideas

One source of business ideas is with people who already own and manage companies or who work for companies.

Through existing work, an idea crops up.

Quite often the idea is outside the company's core business.

People who have these ideas and want to develop them should be encourage to talk to others about developing them and starting their own companies.

Of course, any non-competition and propietary issues (if any) should be taken into consideration in advance of taking the plunge.

Where to get business ideas

Finding a viable business idea is the most difficult thing to do in setting up a business.

Let's face it. The rest is execution.

There is precious little in terms of resources to generate new business ideas.

I've yet to find a resource that talks about how you generate them.

They could also just be a function of luck.

Video of Associated Senior Executives of Canada

To learn more about getting a mentor to help jump start your business or keep it running smoothly, you may want to consider the Association of Senior Executives of Canada.

You can watch the video from their website and learn more about this group.

On-line Business Collaboration

I'm very interested in learning more about on-line business collaboration.

There is some software out there which can be used to facilitate this.

If you know of any, please leave a comment and I'll try it out.

Wiki's can be very useful for putting business plans together on-line as well as in actually developing the strategy required to advance the business plan.

Surely there must be a way for entrepreneurs in Kitchener-Waterloo to communicate with each other to advance common business ideas.

Comments Welcome

Comments are welcome on this blog.

I'm still looking for a Kitchener-Waterloo group that is exclusively for enterpreneurs in the area to support each other and I can't find one.

If anyone finds out if such a group exists, then let me know.

My experience as an entrepreneur has taught me that other people are extremely important to the planning, creation, growth, and management of a business.

Also of importance to the entrepreneur is the ability to talk with other entrepreneurs in the same community.

If you have found this blog and want to join a Kitchener-Waterloo group of entrepreneurs, then go to Linkedin.com and consider joining the group called Kitchener-Waterloo Entrepeneurs.
